DarkMago received a five-year suspension from competitive play, effective from July 14, 2026, through the end of July 13, 2031.
According to ESIC’s findings, DarkMago directly participated in discussions about match-fixing and later became aware of messages indicating corrupt conduct. However, the player failed to submit the required report to ESIC, which resulted in his suspension.
Therefore, DarkMago’s punishment is primarily related to failing to report information about potential match-fixing, rather than a proven direct involvement in organizing a 322. ESIC did not proceed with alternative allegations of direct match manipulation or receiving a reward for it in its final decision.
Vintage, meanwhile, was found guilty of all six charges brought against him by ESIC. The investigation established that the coach participated in an agreement or attempt to intentionally lose PlayTime’s match against Team Liquid, agreed to accept financial compensation for the alleged manipulation of the result, and encouraged or assisted in involving another participant. As a result, Vintage received a permanent ban.
Vintage’s sanction is also recognized as effective from July 14, 2026.
The case dates back to Esports World Cup 2026, where ESIC initially provisionally suspended DarkMago and Vintage over suspected integrity violations. The suspensions prevented PlayTime from continuing its run at the tournament.
Later, PlayTime also removed DarkMago and Vintage from its roster following an internal investigation.
